Brainstorming @ Düsseldorf

Hi there!

Today, I’m updating you on my week off!

Last weekend, I went to Düsseldorf with my family. It’s only a two-hour drive and it’s a magnificent city!

Düsseldorf is one of the principal economic areas of Germany. This is mainly because of four important sectors: fashion, financial services, automotive and real estate.
For example, L’Oréal and Esprit have their headquarters located in the city.

Of course, one of the main reasons to go there was fashion. Düsseldorf really has it all: ranging from the affordable stores in Altstadt to the expensive Köningsallee. This avenue is made for (window) shopping. It has all the brands-on-trend: Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Chanel, Dior,… You name it!

GOOD TO KNOW: The city also has a huge Zara and an H&M (major detail: this one has the H&M X Kenzo collection). As you can see, it’s the perfect street. So get inspired by the beautiful stores!

We stayed at the Breidenbacher Hof a Capella Hotel and had an amazing stay over there! These days, the Hotel is particularly known for its amazing chef: Justin Quek. JQ normally works at the famous restaurant “Sky on 57”, in Singapore. From September until November 2016, you can enjoy his creations at the Breidenbacher! (see the oysters below – “to die for”!)

Besides, they have the most amazing bar where you can have the best latte during the day, and the GREATEST cocktails by night.
I tried the ‘Sex and the City’, and I ended up drinking out of a shoe! How creative, right? 😉

Little tip: one year ago, I stayed at Hotel Favor. It’s also a really good one, and a little lower in price! Perfect for December, because it’s right next to the Christmas market.

Now, little more about the outfit: although it was November, the weather was great! Therefore, I decided to wear a sweater as an alternative for a jacket – if I don’t have to wear a jacket, I won’t haha!

Furthermore, I chose for a pair of black boots. You wouldn’t tell, but they’re super comfy! Nothing better than walking around in a city, looking classy while feeling comfortable, right? 😉

Here, I tried to combine affordable pieces with a few special details (my fav combo). Check out the pictures!
